Mind Games ends with a light breakfast followed by a farewell session
with the parents and students--and lots of pictures and lots of hugs. Kyle Cochran led us
in worship and complimented the students on being so great, not only in their teachability
but also in their responsible behavior throughout the week.

Several students took the microphone to comment on their experience. Here Jordan Hamilton
saluted the Yankee students who were so fun for the southerners to listen to all week!

J.T. Miner, nicknamed "Insect" for his passionate interest in catching and studying things
entomological during the week, shares his appreciation of the conference, this time as an alumnus.
|
Ray Bohlin repeated his opening challenges from Campus Christianity, and closed with Scripture,
especially 1 Thess. 2:19, which is poignantly appropriate on the part of the instructors:
"For what is our hope, our joy, or the crown in which we will glory in the presence
of our Lord Jesus when He comes? Is it not you?"

Aaron and Marque Babyar and their boys. We met Aaron and Marque when they were
summer staff at Ozark six years ago, and Aaron is now a youth pastor in Elgin, Illinois. He brought
part of his youth group to Mind Games, as well as his family, and we are so glad he did!

"The Hannahs Redux"
The first "The Hannahs" picture was taken Sunday night before the fourth Hannah arrived, so
of course we needed to redo the picture! Presenting Hannahs Smallwood, Bakke, Wood and Hodges.

There were several sibling pairs among the students this week, but we were especially blessed
to have THREE brothers from one family! Carey, Jonathan and Matt Wiese

One of the things that made the week run so smoothly was the excellent camp staff. Not only did
they serve us cheerfully and well, they also attended several sessions when they had free time.
Laura and April are Mind Games alums and liked Ozark so much they came back to work all summer!
The staff girls said to make sure and mention here that this is what they look like at 7 a.m.
without benefit of makeup or other enhancements. Not a problem when they're all beautiful to begin with!

At the orientation meeting on Sunday, Ray Bohlin told the parents and students that
the Ozark conference is our favorite week of the year, and Rick Wade commented that he starts
looking forward to it on the Monday following the conference's closing! All of us share this
enthusiasm. It's a "total immersion" week for us as staff, where we get to be surrounded by and minister
to some of the brightest, most delightful Christian minds in the Body of Christ. What an awesome blessing and
privilege it is for us. . . and we are, indeed, already looking forward to next year's conference.
